Variations In The Modest Islamic Clothing

By Enid Hinton

A religion is characterized by the set of rules which govern those who are loyal to it. A good example of such is the Islamic religion. This places a very huge importance to the governing in how faithful people dress. They are not supposed to be influenced by the western culture or the latest trend and below is a preview of modest Islamic clothing.

It is stipulated that women wear clothing which covers the whole of their bodies, from head to toe. Most of them wear long dresses referred to as maxi dresses. They should not be extremely fitting but are supposed to be free flowing which is a sign of self-dignity as they are meant to hide off most of the skin which is somehow associated with intriguing sexual desires.

In the event that they decide to put on tops above these skirts, they should be no different. Indecent blouses which expose their chest are supposed to be avoided and should be replaced with free flowing tops of any colour of their choice. When they put these facts into consideration then they now qualify as the perfect wives for their future husbands.

Sporty hoodies, hijabs and various types of women wear are among the chosen sports gear for the ladies. This means that they do not have to go against their religion by putting on short games kits which will be an act of mockery to the religion. The main goal is that these rules are followed to the best of their effort.

Strict laws are enforced on issues to do with exposure of hair by females. As part of the dressing code, they should cover their hair using hijabs. Allowance is supposed to be left only for the face. The reason behind this is that this exposure may make men be lustful which is a sin that most women are unconsciously committing as a result of the ever trending fashion.

Long robes, small fitting hats and sandals are the type of dressing which identifies the men. Some dye their hair n beards as a sign of recognition of some form of authority, like the imams. However, during times of prayer, shoes are supposed to be left at the entrance of the mosque. This is after they have dully washed their feet as a sign of respect and hats taken off.

There are consequences to breaking of rules especially for the case of women. Due to the strong influence of western culture and emerging fashion trends in the market every now and then, some ladies and up disowning their religion in a bid to fit in the crowd and feel the beauty that comes about in living this kind of lifestyle. Such are excommunicate from the religion and neglected by their families and friends as a form of punishment for their misconduct.

In summary, all members of a particular faith are required to be loyal and respectful to it despite what other people do or say to try and sway them from their faith. They should put in mind that this is not done for the fear of the spiritual leaders rather it is done for the fear of the Lord.
